More Paper art using 3 colors and 2 tools!
Generic Robot Soldier sketch
Whenever i don't know what to work on, or want to try out something new, i usually lapse into "Generic Soldier from the Future" designs. This is no exception.
I do really wish paper had more color and brush control, but i suppose there are other more complicated apps out there.
Done using Paper on my iPad
Using "Paper" on the iPad
Since my Cintiq drivers are still broken i've had time to check out stylus drawing on the iPad thanks to the new Paper app and the Adonit Jot Classic!
I am usually a fan of application limitations, but I think Paper could be significantly better with at least a few tweaks. I am looking forward to what they add in the coming weeks and months!
The Jot stylus is really quite awesome and leaps and bounds more capable than any other squishy tipped stylus i've used. I am anxious to use the bluetooth pressure styluses coming out on the market soon, but for now this will do!
"THE TABLET DRIVER WAS NOT FOUND."
This has been the message greeting me for the past 2 weeks. It would seem like my Cintiq 21UX's drivers are self destructing 5-30 minutes into use and the only band-aid i've been able to find is a computer restart. I've really wanted to hammer through another piece but the only frustration-free time i have is over lunch at work. I've lost a whole week to real productivity at home and with a possible move coming up an update is looking grim.
IDotW #199: "Renaissance Dinosaur Wagon"
EDIT1
Got some quick rendering in - this is more than likely as far as i'll take this piece.
Here is my first WIP for this week's Industrial Design. Went straight to lines with no thumbnails on this, so lost some time but i like where it ended up. not sure if i will have time to finish in time, but i might finish it anyway since this isn't something i usually do.
New Blog, New Art
I've always thought about having an updated art blog and this is my first post in an attempt at one! This was drawn in less than an hour at GDC 2012 on one of the 24" cintiqs made available.
