Suicide scorpion sketches

I've been sitting on this concept for awhile now but finally spent a few minutes today making them a bit more presentable. These were done for a mobile game but were cut mainly due to their prohibitive poly counts and rigging needs for the older hardware we were targeting.

All in all I just loved the idea of this poor guy - just wanting to sting somebody - ultimately ending his own life in the process.

Scrap Station Sigma is on Greenlight!

The game I've been helping on for the past month now has a Steam Greenlight campaign up. I will be posting more work in the future as Scrap Station Sigma continues through development but here are 3 human ships for starters.

The humans are just one of 4 races and have a thing for garish colors and chunky bulkheads.

To watch a snippet of pre-alpha gameplay and the greenlight itself check out http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=377660877 for more info!

The Shuttle, Interceptor and Destroyer

Gamers for Good - KKG Artbook

I don't often if ever do fanart - and im not sure why, but the Gamers for Good KKG Art Book was a really good exception to this unofficial rule.

There is quite a lot I would like to change and fix here - composition has never really been my strong suit but the experience was humbling, and it was superb being a part of a larger community creating art for somebody who touched so many lives.

September 5th - "Paddlewheel" + "Weapons"

Worked on these thumbs with a "Paddlewheel" + "Weapons" keyword prompt from Concept Art Sessions.

I haven't drawn too many boats before but really enjoyed mixing old forms with new to create a few steam powered gunboats. It's usually really hard for me to let go of keeping accurate perspective while thumbnailing but I feel like a few of these made it through pretty wonky and I didn't feel the need to obsess over them and fix it! Progress!

Scout Recon Vehicle

Finally got this project done and together!

Lots of thanks go to Samuel and Kai for the help establishing some groundwork and tweaks. My goal was realism and if I could do it all over again I might have tried pushing for a more dramatic or fantastic shape or configuration. As it stands I wanted to create something that read as authentic and covered an aspect of near future warfare that I felt needed to be expanded on!

Technical Fanfiction

The Scout Reconnaissance Vehicle was designed to fill the military's growing need for UAV bandwidth, FOB security and covert fire control. The goal was to create the smallest and lightest armoured vehicle possible while allowing for a extendible 7 meter sensor boom and deployable Tier 0 drones.

While primarily an electric vehicle the SRV does have a small on-board gas turbine engine to provide charging and backup power. The reduced sound footprint offered by the electric motors greatly aids the SRV in avoidance while allowing it to get closer to hostile forces than would typically be expected. The range of the SRV is almost quadrupled with the addition of battery skirting which double as both Electro Reactive Armer and reserve vehicle power. Each panel is isolated from one another allowing energy to be transferred even when all neighbouring panels have been breached.

The SRV's only active defences are the modular CROWS mount (Shown here with a Mk 19 grenade launcher), Smoke grenades and a missile countermeasure laser.
The Sensor mast includes a long range dish, wide band jammer and 2 bi-directional stabilized camera pods. Each pod includes a primary optic along with LiDAR, range finder, target painter and signalling laser.

Each SRV has 2 accessory slots which can store anything from liquid fuel, extra batteries or in the example above drone bays. These Tier 0 drones can run automated loitering patterns and patrol waypoints that create a realtime map of the surrounding terrain. The drones also have a retractable hook that can deploy from their top allowing them to hang from lines or branches for a low power sentry mode (not shown).

Recon Armor WIP5

Added some last details like the remote grenade launcher and the drone bays. I think this armor skirt design is growing on me, but i still want to make some guards for the lights in any case.
